![]() I am using Winzip 7.0 but have upgraded to WinZip Self-Extractor 2.2. zip file before I created the self extractor, but it doesn't add the shortcut itself, only the file that the shortcut leads to. I tried going into C:\Windows\Desktop and adding the shortcut to the. If I could figure out how to place an icon on his desktop using the self extractor, he could easily access it from there. ![]() The problem is that once the client closes his browser, he has no way to get back into the website short of going into Windows Explorer and opening it from there (I'm not sure he knows how to do that). After it extracts, it opens the home page for the client to look at. It places the images in a subfolder of this new folder named images. Using Winzip Self Extractor, I have created a self extracting file that extracts to a new folder on drive C:\. ![]() I am working on a website and would like to send what I have so far as an attachment in an e-mail to a client for his approval. Does anyone know how to place an icon on the desktop using a self extractor?
